According to Rule 702 of the Federal Rules of Evidence...

"an Expert is a person, who due to specialized training and experience, may provide testimony to assist the trier of fact in understanding the evidence that is beyond the layperson's knowledge, or to determine a fact in an issue" (Moore, 1985)

Dr. Jane R. Rosen-Grandon is a licensed marriage and family therapist and a licensed professional counselor in private practice in Greensboro, NC. She has accumulated over 30 years of clinical experience in a variety of human services and private practice settings. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Rosen-Grandon has taught in a variety of community and educational settings and provides human relations consultations and in-service training to medical and business offices.

She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Florida and her master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Connecticut. After practicing for a number of  years, Dr. Rosen-Grandon returned to school and received her Ph.D. in counseling and counselor education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since 1987, she has published a monthly column in the Hamburger Square Post newspaper, addressing a wide variety of work and family life issues.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Rosen-Grandon applies skills developed through extensive training in the practice of Gestalt Therapy, Neuro-linguistic Programming, and hypnosis. In 1997, she was recognized by the International Counseling Honor Society, Chi Sigma Iota, as the Practitioner of the Year in both her local chapter and internationally. She has been recognized as a Diplomat of both the American Psychotherapy Association and the American Board of Forensic Counselors. In 2003, she received the prestigious Don Dinkmeyer Social Interest Award from the Board of the American Counseling Association.
